We recently finished up our second “Build your Foundation” nutrition challenge of the year here at Classic Fitness. If you haven’t gone through our nutrition education or done a challenge with us, our approach is a simple one.
“FAILING TO PLAN IS PLANNING TO FAIL”
We can tell you everything you need to know about nutrition and the role of nutrients in your body. We can teach you about the role of specific amino acids, the citric acid cycle and the use of different fuel substrates for creating energy. The problem is that none of that knowledge can make decisions for you. None of that knowledge will help you pass on the workplace party treats. None of that knowledge will put a healthy meal on your plate. What will help you with these things is to keep your nutrition simple.
Keeping nutrition simple is all about PLANNING your meals with a few easy to follow guidelines. Building a plan makes it a lot easier for you to stick to nutritious meals because you don’t have to make good decisions every day. You already know what’s for dinner on any given night, so no more spending mental energy trying to make the right decision when you’re tired from a long day of work.
The results from our challenge have been remarkable. Every person in the challenge was able to change a few lifestyle habits, starting with making the time to plan out their entire week’s meals. Everybody in the challenge was able to lose weight while maintaining lean mass. The best part is,
NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN THE CHALLENGE WAS PUT ON A RESTRICTIVE DIET OR TOLD WHAT TO EAT.
